IMPORTANT NOTE: NO ENTRIES TO THE SHRINE ROOM WILL BE ALLOWED BETWEEN 8:45 a.m. and 9:15 a.m.

The Puja will be preceded by a talk by Venerable Lama Tsang Tsing explaining the meaning of this profound Puja and no entries will be permitted during the talk.

Venerable Lama Tsang Tsing and his assisting Lamas will perform this all-day extensive Mahakala Puja for the benefit of the KDC Sangha and for all beings. This Puja is traditionally performed on Mahakala Day before the beginning of the Tibetan New Year. This year Mahakala Day falls on Wednesday, February 14, 2018. The Puja has the power and ability to clear away the obstacles and negativities of the past year and opens the door for the auspicious unfolding of the new year. The Puja concludes with a Tsok (Vajra feast offering) in the afternoon. You are welcome to attend at any time throughout the day, and it is of great benefit to do so.

Monetary donations to sponsor the Puja, Tsok, and offerings are welcome and generate great merit. Please consider being a sponsor for this powerful and important Puja, even if you cannot attend. Sponsors receive merit equal to those performing the Puja and may request special prayers be said on their behalf. If you would like to sponsor the Puja, please send your monetary donations in advance to: KDC, 215 E. 33rd. Avenue, Eugene, OR 97405.

Any Western Lama who is planning to participate in the all-day Mahakala Puja is asked to please contact KDC by February 1 and notify us of your attendance. Please call KDC: (541) 485-3961 and leave a short message on the answering machine.

A Dharma Center where this profound Puja is performed each year is a great blessing.

A couple of gentle reminders:
1) As a courtesy to others, especially during this cold & flu season, if you or anyone in your household is ill and could be contagious, please plan to join us for an event in the future when you are well.
2) Also, KDC Shrine Room is a fragrance-free zone. Due to many people’s allergies, please refrain from wearing scented products or wearing clothing which may have lingering scents of scented products on them.
